Guided by mathematicians and educators, the Nueva Math Circle provides students with opportunities to play with interesting mathematical activities, puzzles, and problems. This year's Math Circle features sessions for students in preK to 8th grade. Parents are invited to participate with their children in the Math Circle, and are asked to supervise their own children. This is not a drop-off event. In addition to Nueva families, the Math Circle is open to the public.
Our Lower School session will be led by two fantastic speakers:
Kyle Slyngstad will be presenting hexaflexagons
Stephanie Englehaupt
Our Middle School session is entitled "Locks, Keys, and Big Numbers" and will be led by
Professor Dan Boneh, Dept. of Computer Science, Stanford University
Registration Fee: $10 per student (parents free) to help offset the cost of speakers and related expenses.
